Changing Instructional Videos into Immersive Interactive Experiences

UCSC has partnered with Coincident, the San Francisco-based technology firm who have designed a drag and drop video markup authoring platform to learn how to make academic digital content more interactive. Imagining the possiblities beyond recorded lectures or custom linear videos to create a well-executed immersive video experiences that not only engages students, but encourage them to take measurable actions towards their learning and discovery. This presentation will demonstrate early examples of buildiing instructional experiences using video, web in a whole new way -- as social as you want it. Coincident Create and ITVML make it possible to build interactive video experiences for the web, HTML5, and mobile apps using a DreamWeaver-like dashboard adding assets via cuepoints in the video timeline.
